I’m lateraling over from corporate banking to investment banking next week. Love my current role and the WLB it affords me. In the long-run, I know this is the right move for my career but need some reassurance that it’s worth it. I’d appreciate any advice/stories/etc. Ty in advance.

Hi fellow PMs, Question for the group: has anyone here made the switch from being a creative agency PM to a digital producer or digital agency PM? I.e. going from managing creative projects like TV to managing website builds/UX projects. If so, what was the transition like and what helped you get your bearings in the new environment? I am a developer with 4.7 yrs in IT & have worked as .Net & presently as Salesforce Developer in my career, my ctc is 9.5LPA.
How can i shape my career hierarchy to reach at good level with yoe i have. I see my juniors with just 2yoe earning more than my ctc. Should i work as a developer for coming years or should i start preparing myself for higher level in IT. Incase if I should prepare for higher levels then what it should be Architect or is it shud be in Bussiness domain?

I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.

I’m four months into my job and I got put onto a PIP. I worked so hard to break into IB, put up all the hours and even working 2am nights for weeks, learned a ton, and improved a lot along the way as the sole analyst yet this happens. I’m extra worried because it doesn’t seem there’s IB analyst positions out there. Im really hoping come January more positions come up but I’m just praying they don’t fire me until then. Anyone have general tips for this situation?

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.
