Hi Guys,
I have been assigned to a Unbillable Project, they are building one app and have recruited people from the talent pool. The project is not registered in GLOW. And they are calling it as Voluntary Contribution type project for studio. Is this what they call Internal Project in Globant?
Will there be any impact if I don't perform as per their expectations?
Will it be of any benefit to me if work in voluntary project? Will HR recognize this project contribution as valid work?

I understand your concern. When I do President research, I usually exclude the current President because I want them to research what they do after their presidency. I would definitely send an email to parents and make sure no one is uncomfortable with their child learning about any specific President. It is an interesting conversation to have that we have a lot of presidents that have been bad/corrupt/immoral, and our government continues on and recovers
I too exclude the current president, and sometimes the one previous so they're actually researching and discovering new presidents they previously knew little to nothing about.
I've done bottle buddies. They draw a name & have a rubric and 3-part grade. They must write and essay and created a visual of their president using a water bottle. Then present to the class their findings. They turn out so cute, and we displayed them in the library for all to see. The younger students look forward to 5th grade, so they can create their own bottle people.
Having them draw names would help with your concern, I believe? You simply wouldn't include those presidents whom you or parents feel were inappropriate. Then as the teacher you could present edited / innocent facts about those presidents after all had finished presentations? If wanted.
Send pictures of bottle buddies.
(Continued) I have my kids pick a president to do a PowerPoint biography on and make a presentation to the class. Then my class and I ask them questions about their president. My concern is with our current president. I don’t want to get into a political argument here, nor am I trying to make a statement about my opinion... BUT there are at least a lot of accusations against him that my 11 year-olds are bound to find and ask about. I don’t want to censor him out of the project, but I also am worried of how to handle it with that student and the others when they ask questions. Clinton is one thing to deal with, but this seems more extreme. What do all of you think I should do? (Again, please, don’t take this as a political statement or a place to argue about opinions on our president. Thank you.)
What research tools are you providing? Google should not be an option, library books, elementary research tools are available. I imagine that when guided materials are provided the basic facts are listed.
I guess my question is: what is the goal for this president project? There is no perfect president. They have all done immoral acts, if those don’t come up during any of the other presentations maybe it doesn’t have the academic value to continue using it. Conversations about what was wrong during their time as president is a super valuable lesson since the only reason to study history is to learn from it and not repeat the same mistakes from it.
