I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.

The more important question to ask is what do your numbers look like? Getting comfortable in the role can take time, but you still need to be growing your revenue. Also, do you have any peers who you know are doing well and making their number? If not then maybe the product and/or territory are part of the issue, but if so this role may not be a great fit for you.

The best advice is to learn your product inside out, it's features / benefits, who & why & how it helps your audience. Also, how it compares to competition in terms of features, benefits, & pricing. This will make you feel comfortable enough to call on clients. Ask your manager what are the 5 most objections you will hear and how does he overcome these questions. This will prepare you to handle most issues and start closing deals.
Yes. Take it easy, but look to the places where you’d usually overlook. The job market is very competitive right now since many companies are either closing, only offering seasonal positions, etc. Try to refresh your job search.
After 33 years in the auto industry, I stepped away from a life consumed by ungrateful demands and unrealistic expectations. It was a revelation—a chance to reclaim my joy and spend my time where it truly matters.
For too long, I watched dealers struggle with poorly made vehicles, forced to chase impossible customer satisfaction scores while manufacturers turned a blind eye. The truth is, your dealer principal may not have your best interests at heart; they’re playing a game that ultimately serves their own agenda.
