At Amazon, what is the difference between a Program Manager and Technical Program Manager? It looks like the Technical one gets paid about 25% more but not sure what roles/responsibilities they do differently. Amazon
Also how technical a background does someone need for a Technical Program Manager role?

That is sleazy and sounds like something corporate managers came up with. I went to school for digital marketing and we told to lock down our Facebook's and other social media accounts that didn't show off our skills. Basically, we were told to private our personal social media accounts and have other accounts to use for marketing, networking and creative purposes.
Yeah, when I was studying for my digital marketing certification I was taught the same thing. I can’t help feel this is another way for businesses to bypass anti-discrimination laws without being caught
That's a hard no for me. I'm not going to make my private life public on the off chance a hiring manager will see what the kids and I do on the weekends and think it'd make me a great fit for their team.
No I don't agree with that. If you want to keep yoru social media private then you should be able to. Not to mention I have several friends who don't even have a social media account so they defintiely wouldn't want to hear this LOL.
The only public social media presence should be LinkedIn. Everything else can be private.
My LinkedIn blog posts have helped me secure the last two jobs because they showed my writing style and SME in industry related topics.
Nah, people just like speaking out of their *ss and making statements like that to sound authoritative. Was that on Linkedin? People are there are nuts and trying to farm engagement, try not to take them too seriously. It makes sense for some people to have a public social media page to advertise their services, but not everyone has to take that path. Do what makes sense for you.

I wouldn’t it sleazy but I would consider it bs
