Hi Everyone !!!
This June I completed my 9 months at Career Level 12 and Sub Level 3 I.e, CL 12.3 at Accenture Operations. My Annual Talent Discussion and One-on-One with People Lead is complete as of last week.
I have 3 questions now :
1. When can I expect to move to 12.2 ?
2. What is the general hike I can expect ? And when it is reflected ?
3. When will be the variable pay will be paid out ?
Can anyone here help me with this performance cycle part ? I am really confused.

I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?

Consulting is the classic, working harder but not smarter business model. It doesn't have the same revenue scale as a bank underwriting an IPO, but also eats up way more time than a normal non-client services job. There are firms trying to get around the scalability issue by developing internal tech assets that can be billed to clients as mini SaaS, but honestly a consulting firm will never be able to do Product as well as a true tech company can. My advice is to get out and try and find a role elsewhere and be comfortable taking risks. A job should either be crazy hours but can make you crazy rich or good hours and good market pay. B4 consulting is neither. Income is a balance between risk, time, and skills. Focusing on jobs that reward more risk and skills will help you get back more time
One PO to another, why do you think tech companies products edge out their product counter parts from competing traditional Consulting/ Big 4 firms?

I feel exactly the same, I could have written this post. And as a manager for the last 6 months it has only gotten worse with more pressure/expectations. And honestly it doesn’t look like anything will change.
The hardest is seeing my SO living a very fulfilling life with many hobbies after work while I whither away in my corner.
Honestly I am counting days till end of this project (by EOY), then will try super hard to do internal stuff + LOA starting next year and get the hell out by summer. Most of the peers that started with me or even after have exited into really nice roles so I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Completely agree and the pandemic has definitely reinforced this time and time again for me (I think while I was traveling for work I didn’t fully internalize how much I was missing out on life).
So my feeling brain wants to quit and do something more reasonable, while my thinking brain is saying to stay long enough for the next stage of the green card since I already sank 2 years into that process :(
Log your actual hours to start. Its easier to have the conversation of requesting additional support when your utilization helps make the case

I always log my actual hours. I don’t know about other places, but at MBB is kind of pointless to even bring this up unless working more than 60-65h/wk. Very rarely did they provide more resources, the tendency is to start questioning how efficient you are (at least in my experience and experience of others I have spoken to about this). Oh well
