So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?
Hey folks
I got a call from TCS to interview for a new unit formed within org with the name of Business Transformation Group as per new org restructuring. Anyone from TCS who can help to understand more about this?
Does it cater to only niche technologies or how does this actually function?

I have 2 offers, one from JPMC ( LOB IS Consumer and Community Banking) and the other from Wells Fargo. Both are giving similar roles, and exactly same pay. Location is Hyderabad. I tried for revision of pay but it didn't work.
Could anyone help me understand which one is better to join in terms of hikes, technology used and work life balance. I have to join on Tuesday, 16 Aug.

I went to MASE in Hamburg and it was the best thing I could have done. Really strong school and the internship program got me my first job. Plus I still have a crew of friends from there 10 years later. It’s about how much you put in, but it was totally worth it for me. And Germany is also a great place to spend a year in.
They pretty much take everybody who looks eager enough to wanna go there, but within the first two quarters the ones that shouldn’t be there fall away usually. We had 3 students quit because it wasn’t for them. It’s a lot of work and competitive in a good way. This was 10 years ago, might be different by now.
As a MAS grad, international student and a Copywriter, here’s my suggestion. Focus on awards, right from the start. That’s the only way to get a job in the US. Germany schools put in a lot of hard work and actually have twice the classes that US schools do. But- there are way more ADs then CWs in Germany schools. I say use that to your advantage to produce beautiful work that US based MAS students rarely come close to achieving. But- your actual copy classes might not be as good so prepare to put in more hard work on your own. Best of luck in everything 🎈
Thank you for the kind words and the insight! Will definitely have this in mind. I'm very eager to work on that.
Miami ad school Hamburg
Having just graduated from Miami Ad school...I recommend VCU. MAS is just not what it used to be.
The Berlin school is the best out of all locations so if you want to enroll, go there.

Going to Brandcenter was a pivotal decision in my life. But, it was an expensive decision. For me, it’s paying off because of hard work (plenty of people just coast while at BC) and a ton of luck.
I will say that some of my classmates who required visas to get jobs in the states struggled. Most places aren’t interested in sponsoring visas for Jr. positions.
Thanks! Will consider that last bit about the visas. :)
They’re both great. I went to Brandcenter, so I’m obviously biased but I really loved it there. Out of curiosity: are you European or would you apply to VCU on and F1 Student Visa?
If so, that’s exactly what I did and I’d love to help you out. DM me.
Thanks for this! I'm from Southeast Asia, though. I think we have a different process here. But is it okay if I DM you with some questions? :D
Totally!
I went to Miami Ad School. They do provide good internships and opportunities to work and go to school abroad. All of my teachers were working professionals- that was great for making some initial industry contacts that I didn’t previously have. Some students fooled around, some were serious. Those that made a solid effort got jobs.
I’ve never met a Miami grad at any agency. But I’ve met a ton of Circus grads and a handful of VCU grads.
I can’t say anything about getting a job as an int’l applicant, but what I can say is that I work with lots of people who went to BC, Circus, MAS, SVC etc. and even though I didn’t get an expensive master’s degree, we ended up in the same place. They may have had an easier time getting “in” at a good agency, but I definitely saved lots of money but just working hard, being willing to move anywhere for a good opportunity, and taking chances!
@ACD1 I completely agree. That's actually one of my reasons in applying. I want to break in the industry abroad and I think studying in the schools will definitely give me a leg up.
