Having the right gear goes a long way.
Fenders, shoe covers, and a light rain jacket will keep you comfortable on all but the wettest days.
Solid front and rear lights are essential. Visibility is not great through our dark, rainy winter.
Other than that, just ease into it. Don’t feel pressured to bike commute everyday if you have the option.
+1 to the above ideas. Bike during daylight hours if your schedule allows. Incorporate bus into your route to reduce time riding in the rain. Good luck!
Definitely important to have the right gear. And don't forget a waterproof backpack! I would also say, avoiding busy roads is a good idea because it's much safer when there's heavy rain out
