Diet for sure and maybe see if you could find something you could do at home too, even if it’s only 15-30 min when you can’t go to the gym. You could also try to increase your daily steps
You can just start eating less. You need to go to the gym often if you want unrestricted diet
Diet matters most for losing weight. Focus more on not having calorie dense sugary and salty processed food. This alone helps reduce weight a lot.
40-60 mins workout 3 days/week is a good for staying fit.

My sister was successful with red yellow green diet: some foods were green (fruits, vegetables and protein), carbs were yellow and sweets were red. Eat the green, slow down on the yellow and stop with the red.
