Yes external reporting/control handles bulk of document. I review/comment at various stages and obviously provide legal updates/changes (if there is legal proceeding/update, new risk language needed in md&a etc). Also making sure others in legal see relevant language (i.e. m&a lawyers review acquisition footnote/disclosure) Most of my time is reviewing earnings materials and board materials. 10-k tho as you know is a lot more work for me.

Yeah...still getting used to the cadence. In private practice, I never really looked at board or earnings release info (just was never asked by clients, but they have us do the form checks and build out the quarterly reports). Wondering what sorts of things I can do to get a better handle of what my role is. Agree, the K and proxy are where my real work is.

*For context, I'll for sure check the Exhibits, FLS language, read through the Q and MD&A, but it's very minimal what my input really is, I think.
In addition to this, I would be checking any non-GAAP metrics, making sure they are properly reconciled and equal prominence is correctly used. Check for consistency in tone and language across the Q, ER, and ceo/cfo scripts. Make sure to raise questions on if any material developments for the company are properly reflected in the ER and MD&A.
