In Nov. I signed a 2yr contract to be a Data Entry Specialist once I started in April they changed the job title to Date Analyst. The salary is based on job title and average for it in my state. How do I go about bringing this up and a salary change to match?

Based on job title or civil title?
Just be up front and set a meeting with ur immediate supervisor and inquire about the salary. U may want to check the previous job postings for your current title to have a an estimate if u don’t know

I hope you realise there is a huge difference between data entry and analysis. Before you approach whoever, be certain you are up to it. Otherwise, just go with the flow and learn and fail fast till you master it.

Yeah and I was thinking of asking other coworkers but then I don’t know if they’ve even noticed and are questioning it. I’ve never had to negotiate a salary so this is all new to me.

Find out what’s the difference between data entry specialist and Data Analyst. Perform a market analysis on the two. Then you will be able to see the difference in pay. Also, ask your HR what’s the difference in the titles .

like

Wow, the two are totally different jobs. Are you doing different work? If not, then I’d ask why they changed it in the first place.

like

Yeah when I applied for the job the description was that we would be transferring information from a old system to the new one. When the job started it changed to where we’re now cleaning projects and tracking them excel.

Interested in capital markets, PE, investment...Senior role is unreleated to these industries while PA role could potentially open doors? Just would hate not getting that salary bump after I can finally start seeing some real money after 5 years.....

Also potential advisory role in regional firm but nothing concrete...

I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?

Is April month salary slip generated in FIS Global ??? Mine is not showing, when it will generate?
I doubt they didn't give me quarterly variable , I joined in mid February and even salary came less than previous month.
Did they deduct tax in April month salary of it is then fine because they didn't tax in March month .

Kindly comments if anyone have idea .

Thanks

I need advice. I moved into product management under a year ago to an early stage startup. The first few months went well, but the last 5 have been chaotic. It feels like we’re becoming more sales led, there are too many pivots (I expected some) our roadmap is becoming influenced by sales/ceo. Essentially, we’re trying to do much. It’s happening so much I’m starting to lose confidence in the company/strategy. It’s also causing me anxiety…

A HR question I really want to understand. ISRS HR quoted a podcast "The not so great resignation" saying 70% regret leaving and many want to go back to old employer. If this really the case the employee likely left due to higher pay at the new company. If they want to boomerang back they will likely come back at even a higher rate than they left the new company for. So getting double raise when they boomeranged. Isn't it unbeneficial, why not just give employee a 7% raise in the first place?
