Hey Guys,
I got a call from Infosys HR on 16-September-2022 that I have been successfully selected for the job position of Test Analyst at Infosys, as per our conversation I have to receive an offer letter within 15 days, but I haven’t received it till now.
Now They have sent a mail that your Candidature is on hold. Is this happened with anyone else also.
Please do suggest on this guys.

I transferred firms to EY almost a year ago. I’m currently a SA1. I recently got my H1-B extension. Is it reasonable to assume that EY will start my GC application once I’ve been with the firm for a year? Or do I need to be at a higher rank or have less time left on my H1-B for them to get the process started?

I got my interview scheduled in EY BECAUSE I got connected with a partner in consulting and sent him a greeting. He saw my LinkedIn and asked me to share my resume. Go for it. Lot of partners are active on LinkedIn and may love to grow their network. But you might need to have a decent/unique profile for them to accept your request.
I believe that I got into my current position faster because I connected with a partner on LinkedIn. I applied for the position through the website and later that night I connected with one of the partners. I sent him a message and just told him that I’d applied and knew someone who had previously worked there and had great things to say about the firm. He asked me to email him my resume directly and he responded the next day to let me know HR would be reaching out to schedule an interview. I had an offer in less than a week.
I may be wrong but I would not like someone asking me to talk to the partner. That to me looks weird and it would be a red flag to me.
But, if had interviewed you and I thought that you have a good potential, I would be calling the partner asking him/her we can move the process along fast.
I appreciate that others may disagree with me but these are my thoughts.
Oh I would not ask anyone to talk to the partner! This is more of me sending connection request via LinkedIn but I don’t think I’ll do it as there wasn’t a real connection point with this partner yet. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
I don't see a problem with it though personally, I would wait until after the interview. Even if you don't get the job, it would only be awkward if you believe it to be. No harm in making connections.
I usually wait to send the connection request until after the interviews (or around the time when you decide on the job offers).
