PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

Make sure your space is set up, introduce yourself to people and basically chill out. Once the work starts coming in you'll miss these quiet moments
Try to meet as many people as you can. Hang out in common spaces. Spend time with as much of your colleagues work as possible.
Ask to help out. Or if they need anything. If not, enjoy it while it lasts
Look through brand books. Listen to everything, watch how people interact in the office. See who is doing what and how your team relates to each other. Smile (yes this is for both men and women). Be relaxed. Don’t bug people too much but also exude a vibe of being available. It’s nerve wracking but if I had to do this one again I would have really paid attention to everyone on the floor, all interactions. Chock up on pop culture and art news and bring up things in conversations. Everyone is watching you bc ur new. Be confident.
Live it the heck up
Seriously? I was put on 6+ briefs going into my 3rd/4th day.
Ask to sit in on meetings, client calls and brainstorms. If it’s a new position they may just not be in the habit of inviting you yet. Ask lots of questions
Get your life in order. Take your car to the shop. meal prep. Get extra chargers to keep in your bag. Call your folks. Organize client meeting outfits. Print out brand books. Renew your license.
You won’t have time once the briefs start coming through.
It makes for long days until you get busy (and even longer days kick in). Just spend time
Introducing yourself to coworkers, and ask if you can sit in on meetings for your brands.
Offer to help out. Ask to attend meetings. Ask and set up training meetings on all the processes. Make a industry competitive deck. Ask people what they are working on and the next steps.
