Had a first round interview scheduled for a large CPG brand. My interviewer never called me, and I emailed following up to confirm the call. It’s been over a day and no response. What is going on with recruiters? I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt, but not even an email back saying “something came up” or “we’ve moved on” ? Question: what do consulting teams mean when they say they are highly diverse and inclusive. When everyone is white?

For people with clean records -what’s the rationale for waiting until a background check to clear before giving notice? I keep seeing it mentioned but I what’s the risk? To my knowledge it’s not like a cleared background check protects you from your new firm rescinding an offer…is the goal to minimize gaps between paychecks?
