Does Natwest bank pay as competitive as Morgan Stanley Deutsche Bank. I mean Associate in MS and DB ranges from 20 to 30 lakh. However when I tried applying to Natwest expecting 40% hike (30 lpa) on current pay of 21 lakh. They straightway rejected me and said its not in their budget. Is there any financial firm which can pay as competitive to Mumbai banks. Barclays Deutsche Bank Natwest group BlackRock

Have a formal offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role where I feel there’s not much room to grow anymore. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role which has been amazing, but it seems like Citi would require me to be there 2-3 days in the office per week - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

I think the tougher part of this role will be to effectively support and utilise the 10 team members. Go through the process and youll learn more about the expectations
I have experience leading large teams, but again, in the context of a consulting engagement. Not sure how this would differ in an industry role. Imagine easier since you can develop teammates and retain them longer-term, meaning they get more reps and are less dependent on you than say a consultant you work with for 2 months on a project they may or may not have ever done before and are learning from scratch.
Get the offer first, then worry about this. Also, when your team in industry is 10 people, your job isn't to guide them through every single step as if you were running a consulting project with a team of new hires. Your job will he more coaching, project management, upward reporting, red tape cutting, and generally being responsible for outcomes. That stuff generally doesn't require growth project experience.
Trust their process to identify the best candidate. Don't lie in the interviews and say you have a bunch of experience, so that when they hire you they'll know what you need help with. If you bill yourself as some sort of growth strategy expert then yes you're setting yourself up for failure. Companies hire on potential all the time.
