Applying with 4 YOE (5 at matriculation) and it feels like it’s so much higher than most people on this app. Sources online say I’m at the average but it doesn’t feel like it. Any thoughts?
Feeling so elated to have EARNED 11 likes to be able to DM. This is more happiness than peanut salary I make every month 😂
When people post on here it seems like most folks suggest going to levels.fyi but I always want to know real people's information. I just feel like it's too general and I appreciate more anecdotal information about how people got to where they got, their background vs their salary etc. And the current value/offerings of RSUs.
Can someone from Deloitte explain the OCR interview process? Got an email to schedule a 60 minute virtual interview for the Strategy internship, and there weren’t many details provided on what to prep
Hi everyone, I interviewed with Microsoft yesterday and whew, I'm not one to say I dream about labor, but lol, I really enjoyed the interview/vibe. I'm super anxious, does anyone know how long you hear until the portfolio round? This is my second interview ever in UX Design for reference. The first one I had with a start up ghosted me.
Do I cut my salary by 50% for an early stage start-up, pre-Series B today? I could be a millionaire in a few years but the salary cut would be very painful for short-to-middle term. How do you make the call? I’m okay where I am, could probably go hard for more pay at year end but was interested in the opp. This calculation feels much different with a family vs single in my 20s. Please help.
Working with an (external) headhunter for a role, and just found out they want me to proceed to the second round of interviews. I had told the headhunter after the first round that I was interested in moving forward (although I did express some concerns I had) but after thinking about it, I’ve decided I’m not interested in the role. Does it look bad to go back on my word and drop out of the process now?
I am interviewing for a Private Equity role (product management) and I have no investing background besides my finance degree. The firm is well aware I have no PE experience. Any tips or advice on what to expect would be appreciated.

I am looking to go in-house and I thought all of the interviews went well at one company. A week after my last interview, the internal recruiter contacted me just to touch base. 3 days later, I received an offer from another company and I contacted the recruiter from the job I want to tell her and she said she would check with the hiring manager and that we should she responded, “stay in close touch.” I emailed today casually to see if there was any update. No answer, any insight into why?
Does anyone here work in recruiting for EY (interviews, resume review, hiring decision) here? If so what are some tips to get hired?
Does Deloitte have any promotions with SPG or Marriott where we get some bonus points just for checking in? Heard EY and KPMG have something like that!

What questions do you ask in an interview to find out more about work life balance? I’m considering leaving audit however don’t want to end up in another firm with ongoing busy season hours.
Is there anyone else out there who keeps getting ghosted by agencies after interviewing for jobs? I've been applying to jobs for months. I've constantly been changing my approach and techniques. Yet I keep getting ghosted by agencies - sometimes even after I reach out asking for an update. I guess I just gotta assume that my acceptance email got lost and move on. 😂
If you filed I-485 are you in status if you quit or are laid off and have enough time to basically find a new job until you get your interview? Im trying to understand what happened in the days when eb based gc didn’t require an interview and someone was laid off
OW interview tips? Anything very different about their interview process/cases compared to other firms?
Anyone else love listening to Bollywood music in the gym? Others probably think I have hip hop or rap playing but in reality I’m doing bench press while blasting badri ki dulhania 😂🇮🇳
How are EY India's Health Plan Choices? How much coverage they provide? I am about to start working with EY India, so if they provide a good coverage then I will stick to their plan, otherwise I will start investigating health plans outside.

Hi folks, I am a java lead with 9 years of experience skilled in Spring boot, microservices along with cloud exposure. I am not certified in any cloud platform though. Currently my ctc is 18.70. Targetting a big 4 with ctc of 30 lpa. Please do share your thoughts if my skill set is really worth it to ask for around 30 lpa. Is pwc, deloitte, kpmg going to entertain such expectations.?

Is it wise to tell a different story when applying to one MBA program vs another if you have competing interests? (Example: stressing interest in banking to Booth vs stressinginterest in tech to Haas)
Can anyone smarter than me help me figure out why I was charged NY income tax as a Texas resident? I was hired in August and paid out a hefty signing bonus that was taxed at the New York income tax level because the firm incorrectly mapped my home location there. None of my work was performed there and I don’t live there. Now the firm is refusing to payback the paid NY taxes?
How do you deal with a teammate that creates unnecessary work for themselves and others and then acts passive aggressive towards the team? Example - MD has already reviewed and signed off on the document and their feedback was incorporated. Teammate then takes 3 hours to change a ton of the content before sending to client.
Can anyone help me with a referral in Accenture Strategy? Is MBA mandatory or 4 YOE in Consulting domain works fine?
Average 3-4 bedroom house is 1.5m for areas that I am interested ( prime location with good school and convenient transportation). HHI is 250K-270K and we can get mortgage up to 1.2M. Currently own downtown condo (750K MP, 400K mortgage but not thinking selling within 3-4years for appreciation). Currently saved 400K for down pmt and mortgage would be 1.2M. Is this too much stretch?
Pet peeve: It bugs me when I see the word ‘unconsciously’ used in place of ‘subconsciously’. Which happens a lot. I start imagining the person not awake or passed out while they were thinking that thought. I know it’s become acceptable to use the un version interchangeably with the sub version. Don’t get me stated on “should of” End rant.
How can I accelerate my path to FIRE? Currently making ~$5.2k/month after taxes and send money to the following: - $500 for expenses (living with parents during covid) - $2.7k to max 401k and IRA with mega backdoor contributions - $1.5k towards down payment savings in HYSA - $400 to brokerage account
Had my Green Card (AOS) interview today for a marriage based application. We did not receive an immediate decision after the interview. One item cited by the officer was the expiration of I-693 medical records (it’s been over 2 years since we filed). Coincidently, as per new USCIS guidelines, they’ve extended the validity of I-693 to 4 years due to covid. I didn’t know this or else I would’ve called it out. I’m hoping this doesn’t generate an RFE. Anyone here with a similar experience? Any RFEs?
So I had an HR interview with PWC for manager in DDV after being referred. They said they would reach out about next steps. I followed up a week later and was told they’re still trying to schedule. Followed up again and my email was bounced back as undeliverable. I think they left, but I have no other contacts in recruiting. Any advice?PwC
