I would assume 140-150 all in TC (including bonus, salary, and stock) is about right assuming this is for a level 4 position. If you have $110, 15% bonus, and 90k stock over 4 years you're pretty close to right on. For what it's worth I'm basing this off of L4 in tier 1 city at around 190-200k with about a 20% cost of living adjustmet. Shoot your shot, but seems about right

What role is this for?

Interesting. I would say this is a backend systems operations role and not a tech role, but happy to provide any more details in dm.

Comp is based off interviews too. Crush them and get the numbers increased. Have a competing offer if you can - that’s what helped me increase my google offer.

I was a C with the S&A practice (specifically analytics & cognitive) . I was more of a cloud user mainly Azure services so it took a bit of self learning to prepare

Do I cut my salary by 50% for an early stage start-up, pre-Series B today? I could be a millionaire in a few years but the salary cut would be very painful for short-to-middle term. How do you make the call? I’m okay where I am, could probably go hard for more pay at year end but was interested in the opp. This calculation feels much different with a family vs single in my 20s. Please help.

Working with an (external) headhunter for a role, and just found out they want me to proceed to the second round of interviews. I had told the headhunter after the first round that I was interested in moving forward (although I did express some concerns I had) but after thinking about it, I’ve decided I’m not interested in the role. Does it look bad to go back on my word and drop out of the process now?

I am looking to go in-house and I thought all of the interviews went well at one company. A week after my last interview, the internal recruiter contacted me just to touch base. 3 days later, I received an offer from another company and I contacted the recruiter from the job I want to tell her and she said she would check with the hiring manager and that we should she responded, “stay in close touch.” I emailed today casually to see if there was any update. No answer, any insight into why?

Had my Green Card (AOS) interview today for a marriage based application. We did not receive an immediate decision after the interview. One item cited by the officer was the expiration of I-693 medical records (it’s been over 2 years since we filed). Coincidently, as per new USCIS guidelines, they’ve extended the validity of I-693 to 4 years due to covid. I didn’t know this or else I would’ve called it out. I’m hoping this doesn’t generate an RFE. Anyone here with a similar experience? Any RFEs?
