All companies should have positions that can be attended from home so that people like you can work at ease while others who like to work in the office can do so as well.
I prefer to have the excuse of going to the office rather than being inside all day. I respect your position but I would be upset if we were all forced to work from home.
I didn't know what it was like to work happily until I did it from home, and more so in our style of work, I consider myself an extremely introverted person, and being able to be comfortable is very important for me.
I believe that these options are the best thing that has happened to us introverted people, in spite of my condition and that my bosses know it, they force me to go to the office twice a week, I usually call and say that I am sick, I believe that little by little they will leave me alone.
Some companies are inviting their employees to come to the office again, in my opinion, our work area can still be remote, I see no reason to go back to the office unless it is a meeting with high ranks of the company, otherwise, I see no reason.
My parents always told me that I had to grow up and that someday I would have to face the world. I am 41 years old, and I have never had to face anything now that I work from home, it is my dream job.
I couldn't agree more! I love the flexibility work from home jobs offer and the fact that I never have to leave the house. It's a great option for people like myself who struggle with social anxiety.
I hear you! The last 2 years have been awesome. I will hate it once my company makes us go back to the office full-time, I'm so not looking forward to it.
Thank you for this comment! I am also an introvert and work from home has been a dream come true for me. It has really eased my anxiety and allows me to stay in my comfort zone. I love it!
You can "boycott it" by just not working for companies that require in-person work
I get it, I really do. People are obnoxious and I don't like being around most of them. I'm glad so many jobs have switched to remote work
This! It's not easy to find a silver lining in the pandemic, but the number of companies that permanently switched to remote is definitely one.
If people never left their homes though, how would we ever be able to make new friends? Even people like me who have social anxiety still need interaction. Just not ALL the time.
I'm an introvert who likes people, but I like them in my own time. Not having to deal with people all day means I have the spoons left to see friends and family after work.
