Nothing less than 100k in HCOL
For tax and 3 YOE that's pretty low in HCOL. That's what I was offered with 2 YOE from my lowest bidder.
Offered 95k and 5k sign on bonus as a Tax Senior 2 in MCOL

Your total YOE is not as important as your YOE as a senior. You just got promoted and are a new senior.
New seniors at my firm in UHCOL Bay Area fall just below $90K. Experienced seniors are at $110K.
How many busy seasons between new senior and experienced senior? Would you recommend waiting until after 4/15 to look for a new opportunity?

100k and 10k sign on
I landed 105K total comp after 2 years in MCOL. Dream big champ! The market is ripe haha
I was offered 96K 10 years ago as a S1.
Wtf
Yeah that seems a lil low unless you’ll have crazy wlb or likely promos
I’m currently getting high 70s after the senior promotion at my current firm. Seems like it’s time to leave if 100k is the minimum.

SA1: DC is high cost of labor and PA salaries are comparable to NYC. Our office is usually only $1-2k less than NYC or Bay Area, and our mid-year raises this year we’re the highest in the country because of the labor market here.
OP: PA firms go by cost of labor, not cost of living. Seattle has a mid-range cost of labor.
