If you’re outside of a full-time top 15 or potentially top 25, it is not generally worth it.
Completely dependent on your background, work experience, and what you’re trying to do with your career.
I went from 102k> ~240k
Strategy consulting
It was worth it for me. Opened more doors for me which lead to higher pay
Depends on where you are in your career and what mba program you attend and where you go after that. E.g., if you go from random F500 employee to MBB consultant there is clear ROI
This is sort of a nuanced question. When you mean earning potential, it depends on 1.) where you go (typically top 30 programs are seen as more worth it than lower ones in terms of that) and 2.) how that earning potential is realized not in the short-term (offers after graduating) but in the long term by the MBA network helping them get into positions they otherwise wouldn’t have that provide that desired earning potential and 3.) if that MBA truly provides you with higher pay in jobs you would have or not have gotten with/without it since sometimes it’s not abundantly clear. I would say if you are in a top 30 program you’re likely to think it’s worth it. Anything lower is hit/miss for people from what I’ve seen. Let me know if you have any other questions
It was worth it for me. I was at 76k base (fall 2020) when I started. Finished Aug last year and accepted an offer for 166k to start in 2 weeks.
I'll add that I jumped twice in the middle of the program
Bases were:
76>115>130>166
It truly depends on what you're doing and who you work for. If you work for a GFI, for instance, in the 80s to 2015, an MBA would not matter to their CEO. In my opinion, it could be a big positive, but it could also mean nothing. It depends 100% on circumstance, so I would need more context.
