Whomever is doing the tv placement for Advocate Healthcare in Chicago: do you have to have the ad going every other commercial? If I hear “come on get healthy” one more time, I’m leaving the state.

Hi, wondering if anyone as a non US trained physician has had experience pivoting to healthcare consulting or healthcare administration? Is an MBA a must? Should one aim for entry level jobs at a consulting firm first for experience? I’ve got good experience in leadership and management roles and completed a lean six sigma yellow belt course. I’m totally empathetic to people that miss offices and traveling. I understand your reasons why, I truly do.

For me personally, after non-stop weekly travel for 4 straight years, not traveling has made me realize how much I enjoy being home. Spending time with family, sleeping in your own bed, consistent exercise schedule, etc.

I for one hope consulting becomes more of a hybrid travel model (i.e. travel 1-2x per month or as needed). Else it won’t be for me.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?
