Before working in healthcare i never got the flu shot and never had the flu. I been in healthcare for over 10 years. However I am not against vaccines I am 100% for them. The only issue I had was with my covid booster after I got that one I had extreme joint pain to the point I couldn’t walk the next day. It was so painful. It gradually died down over the next few weeks but I ended up developing arthritis in my knee and I am in my 30s not saying you can’t get arthritis in my 30s but just making the point that I am not older. So with that said I don’t plan on getting anymore covid boosters nor do my job requires it only the initial vaccine.
Not a fan of being forced to do anything that should be a personal decision about my own health. Not saying I'm against all vaccines. I'm against the removal of free will.
I hate to say, but the last time I had a flu shot, I was sick for three days. The time before that, I came down with the flu (different variant) a week later. This year, I decided to skip the vaccine because it hasn't really worked to my advantage the last few times.
Vaccines save lives. They are not perfect and anything comes with a risk, but the risks of the vaccines are far less than the risks of the illness (flu, etc).
