Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!

There is no official return to office plan and it is team specific. There are still plenty of people who work remotely full time.
I had been bearing about GT going fully back kn person so i was a bit worried
If you’re unwilling to work in person you aren’t going to have much of a career in public accounting.
I agree. I think hybrid is here to stay. Being able to work and interact with others in a physical space and build relationships is not to be entirely discounted as a soft skill.
You can certainly build relationships virtually without ever meeting IRL. But it is harder for firms and organizations to build a sticky and welcoming culture without in person connections. Not to mention building a workforce that is able to go and meet clients where they are and build relationships that keep clients happy with the firm and its services.
No one is currently fully remote. You’re going to have to get that individually.
Whats the working mode rn
No. I imagine certain people are. But as a firm, no.
My current schedule is about 2 days in the office, 3 days remote.
Also, occasionally travel for my role so just depends.
