Hi. I'm a final year btech student, and I recently got an offer from PwC India for the post of Sr. Analyst, with the package of 4.5lpa fixed + some yearly performance bonus. How should I expect me to be my career graph in pwc? Promotions, work culture, work life balance, basically any kind of insight will be appreciated.
THANKS A TON, IN ADVANCE.

Yes it's normal. They check with the immigration team to ensure they can hire you from an immigration standpoint before moving you too far along in the process
Thanks for the confirmation

No. Asking anything beyond are you eligible to work in US is illegal
So i had a intro call with the HR for a position I applied and I got a email today saying “KPMG LLP has initiated a pre-screen process to gain an understanding of potential visa options available to you. Please note that this is not a visa application process. “ should I proceed??
Rising Star
If it's what type of visa you're on etc probably normal, if they are asking for the ID# sounds sketchy.

OP, does not need to provide any document that proves their current income e.g. Their payslips. These are standard instructions that they sent across without considering the fact that you aren't an existing employee. The only thing I would provide them would a copy of the current passport, current visa and i-94. That and educational documents etc. That would be sufficient for them to assess their immigration situation.

Did you indicate that you would need sponsorship now or in the future?
Rising Star
Agree w/ BN1. They need to know what they’re getting into before making an offer. Sponsorship changes the entire dynamic, unfortunately not always in your favor.
Rising Star
I’m assuming they are determining if you would be a candidate worth sponsoring. Nothing illegal about that. Not sure what VP1 is talking about.
