I interviewed for tcs for SAP function Consultant and cleared technical as well as managerial round on same day. Next day I received mail from HR that I have been shortlisted and require to submit all the documents.
My CCTC is 21 LPA ( 19 fixed) and I put my expectations as 27 LPA (30 percent hike on Current CTC), YOE- 5.8 years till now and then need to serve 3 month NP ( till joining 6 years)

Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

I wouldn’t offer that at your level. Companies are looking to make big pay cuts (i.e. top level employees). Just look at trades over the last two weeks.
At a junior level, unfortunately, a pay cut won't mean too much. But it's worth trying. I mean, the worst that can happen is they say "no"
No one is safe.
Before anyone asks/tells you as a junior to cut your pay look them dead in the eye and ask if they gave back their 2019 bonus.
I’ve thought of this too. Unfortunately it’s not the cost as much as having enough billable hours to fill when projects and budgets decrease.
If you’re in ny, they can’t reduce below a certain salary level or they’d need to pay you overtime. Not sure what other states have this law
