Is it dishonest for consulting firms to say "no covid-related layoffs", while suddenly counseling out a bigger % of people, or letting people go due to low utilization under the guise of performance?

We’re in such a vicious business. You give your heart & soul to an agency, a client, a brand. Then the wind changes & you’re laid off, reassigned, chewed up, spit out, on to the next. I’m tired.
