Jummah Mubarak Fam 💚
Quick qstn - I'm receiving HRA of 24075 from my employer but I would like dhow the rent paid as 96k p.a (while filing ITR). Even if I do so, I was only able to get exemption of 24075 from gross. Checking if we can speak to payroll department to increase Actual HRA since I'm actually paying more rent than compared. Will I be able to do so ?Deloitte Newco EY Accenture Genpact KPMG

Oh jeez... I hope so!
Amen!!
Nothing wrong with a career MD. You get paid well, no liability/downside, better taxes, likely a 401k match, and you don't pay your own medical.
D2 - pros are a defined benefit plan paid by the firm, as well as 401k with match. Con is that defined benefit plan is lower than that of partners.
What does “everything that comes with being a Partner” means to you?
Equity obviously
What’s the pay at the MD that’s keeping you from going for partner?
I’m in a niche area and was told I didn’t have a partner case. Plus, olde as yonder hills. Three years at MD, I’m at ~$350k base and 0-35% bonus. Getting about a 3% increase a year, which does grow over time. Haven’t found anywhere else that’d pay this well to do what I do, so I figure I’ll ride this for as long as they’ll have me
Plenty of people do yes
What is it you don’t want that comes with being a Partner?
The matching tattoos…. The secret handshake… That fancy lounge on the top floor with the cigars… It’s too much
