Is it illegal to impersonate a CPA?

I’m currently working in PA full time while preparing to take the other 3 exams that I have left to be one.

What does that even mean? It’s probably illegal and definitely unethical.

like

Yes it is illegal to represent your self as a cpa when you are not licensed. If the board found out you would lose your license permanently since it is unethical.

like

When you go together licensed you can get revoked. Also, Board can prohibit you from practicing in the industry all together on top of fines/jail time for misrepresenting yourself and advising when you are not permitted to which could led to defrauding people and investors. If you act in a way that could cause someone to change their choice regardless of dollar amount then that has serious consequences.

like

If you aren’t putting CPA on your information, working in PA is training until you become a CPA. No one expects you are impersonating a CPA. You should be working under licensed CPAs. Yes, it is illegal to represent yourself as a CPA if not licensed.

like

like

Um…..yeah….. Office Space is all of our documentary.

Lmao

Definitely illegal. You’d learn this exact thing once you took the ethics class required upon passing all your exams.

It’s very easy to validate whether someone is really a CPA. If you’re caught you will never be able to get the license that you’re working hard to get. Don’t be stupid.

Hi all
I started out as a graphic designer. Worked for about 4yrs in different roles. Then i started a digital design role for 2 yrs and then made my transition into ux. i have been in a ux role for 5 years. But i want to steer my career towards something more creative. Like in 5-10 years I wouldn’t want to be a specialist or a ux director. I d like to be an art director or creative director. I love branding & marketing but also product. Would love something that allows me to do both?

I’m in big law and on the cusp of making the jump to in-house. It sounds like the company I just interviewed with is getting ready to make me an offer. It’s definitely going to be a pay cut coming from big law but I do get some nice equity in the company. Is the jump worth it? I’m so burnt out by big law and this seems like an awesome opportunity to help shape a newish company. Any tips on how to figure out if this is the right move for me?
