It means you aren’t using enough weight. Get a spotter and start going up in small increments each leg day until you feel the burn.
The weight isn't an issue, I've been increasing weight over time and still the same. I'm hip thrusting 275lbs and squatting 205, there's only so much more weight I can physically lift each week
Try changing it up! I've been adding lunges as a core to my leg workouts. The other thing I've done is take the weight DOWN and focus on volume and time under tension.
No more than 135lbs but I do 10 sets of 10'reps, with each rep being a 3 second eccentric movement, 3 second pause, and a 3 second concentric movement.
Not weird, if you are getting stronger and feel good doing it than you’re good.
it’s a little strange. if you lift often (e.g. same muscle group more than 1x/week) that could be why. it could indicate you aren’t mixing up your exercises enough. try switching it up. box squats instead of regular squats one week, good mornings instead of romanian deadlift, throw in a new exercise or something.
finally, i would point out that doms (delayed onset muscle soreness) isn’t necessarily an indicator of how hard you worked out or the gains you’re going to receive.
Thanks for the input! I used to train legs just once a week, mixing it up every so often, never getting sore no matter what I try, meanwhile my SO can barely walk down the stairs the next day even though he did the same weight as me 😂
I took a 6 month break from lifting this summer, and still no soreness. I've seen great results since though so I'm not as concerned, just wanted to see what others would say and if anyone also never gets sore.
