Bain & Company Hey! Got dinged at BCG and Mck and then hadn't heard back from Bain, but just found out I made it to final rounds. I haven't been prepping for over a week as it'd be two since my first round at Bain.
Help! Whats different or similar about Bain final rounds? I'm applying to Texas offices for an experienced AC role. I also may have to have an accelerated final round as I'm leaving the country for most of April. Bain & Company
McKinsey & Company I did my final round with McKinsey today, and I I received a rejection call from the partner today. However, he said I did really great and wants to keep in touch with me. He also mentioned that I should reapply in 6 months. Does anyone have any similar experience? Do I have a better chance if I reapply next time?McKinsey & Company

Yes, it’s possible. I don’t know of any quick fixes, but if you have insurance, get a nutritionist. And exercise, if you aren’t already doing it. It’s literally the only thing I know that accelerates the recovery.
Physical therapy for your back if you might have a lot of pain from hunching over working (or just working and not standing/stretching a lot even if you had a nice ergonomic setup)
When you wake up, don’t go straight to your phone - try writing down your dreams, getting outside / looking outside at least, and journaling (even if it’s just a few sentences or loose thoughts/a poem or something). Go on walks without using your phone. Try not to use phone before bed - if you do, just use it to read. Even if it’s just news articles. DO NOT CHECK SLACK/TEAMS/WHATEVER after 5:30pm - and make sure notifications are off outside of working hours too. Go see all the doctors you need to see!! Make time for things but understand things take time - a Dr appt might not be available for a month or two, but hey at least you scheduled it. Make your time outside of work valuable. You don’t need to be writing gold all the time - you need to get your antenna out there again. Hang out with friends and don’t feel guilty about it. And when you write, remember that 90% of it will always be trash. But right now, it will be even more trash than usual, because you’ve been avoiding your own thoughts and peace bc of a toxic work situation and you have a lot of introspection to catch up on. It takes time. But it’s no rush - it’s just the process of getting back to comfort again. :)
I had a photography professor in college who said if you’re out of ideas it’s because you don’t read enough. Meaning: read novels, read historical accounts, read things that will fill your mind with images. That will help the overall creative vision. I always find new music does this for me too.
Yes it is, I left for a while and did something else to clear out the cobwebs in the brain
