Absolutely. I was able to work as an adjunct professor at a local college, and I was only a senior associate at the time. Depending on the university, you may need a masters degree to become full time faculty.
I would suggest reaching out to the business or accounting departments at local universities and seeing if they have any positions open. You may need to start as part time, teaching one or two courses a semester, but you can pivot from there to full time. Colleges are pretty eager to have public accounting alumni or people currently working in public accounting. Makes the school look better and the students tend to respond well to people with that kind of experience, particularly if you work in the accounting department.
Yeah you can definitely teach without a masters degree, so long as you have a credential (teaching or other professional credential like a CPA). At least that was the case with my experience. Teaching full time typically requires a masters degree or equivalent certification, regardless of experience, but there may be schools that don’t require it. Even local junior colleges in my area required a masters to be hired as full time faculty, even for those with a CPA.
