I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

Imo no. Heard Google is a lot of in office as well, and the culture kinda went downhill. You would need to start from scratch building up your network and goodwill, and for a TC that has lower base (I’ve heard SF pay extremely high cash comp to offset lower RSUs)
Yeah dude Google is done. I'd bet my next years salary that the stock will never have another all time high.
Google fine. Just depends on what team your on.
Hey do you mind sharing where the role is based? For context, I interviewed for a program manager role last week and am wondering when I likely to hear back. Thanks
There's no point in switching companies for no pay increase if you're otherwise happy, and you'd lose remote work perks. Do you have other considerations or long term goals that you haven't mentioned? For example, being full time employee at Google is better than contractor at Salesforce.
Technical PgM or otherwise?
I’m also at Salesforce, feeling similar. Having my first call with the recruiter next week so it’s still early but based on what I’ve researched so far, I’m an AE (sales) not sure if the opportunity for pay will be as high..and feeling uncertain about in office
It definitely is not. I’m an AE in LCS at Google and my brother is an AE at SF - he makes way more in cash (but apparently doesn’t get equity?)
Nope , google culture is pretty crap and working hours are crazy in many areas
