I got an offer from another company. Currently working in walmart. The main idea behind getting an offer is to ask for a salary rise. I was very much underpaid here. So I thought getting an offer will help increase my pay here in walmart by getting counter offer from them. But i am not sure if I discuss with my manager it will backfire me.Walmart
Bain & Company Contemplating a move from Accenture Strategy to Strategy&, or Monitor Deloitte. Part of my consideration is the assumption that WLB is likely to be better than at McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, or Bain & Company. Could any of you fellow European fishies shed some light on the validity of this assumption? Sharing experiences would be highly appreciated.

The probability of getting the job is infinitely higher if you do apply than if you don't. Just sayin'.
I've gotten offers solely through applying through the website, but it almost always works better to be recommended and have your resume delivered directly to the hiring manager.
I've never even got a call back from an online application; all my jobs I've got exclusively through networking.
Obviously knowing someone is the way to go, but my current job I got from a cold application, so works both ways #iKnowSomeone
So I got my last three job interviews via linked in 2 without a recruiter 1 with. It works, trust me.
Got my current job just applying online. Ridiculously lucky but my resume did fit perfectly
I recommend applying online then following up with the recruiter. Can usually find the recruiter on the LinkedIn job posting or just by searching on LinkedIn for a few of their recruiters and emailing one per day
I've also gotten offers and interviews from cold applications.
Yeah, I guess it's worthwhile. I guess it's just a numbers game, which sounds exhausting.
Every job/interview I ever got was through online applications. Networking doesn't work well for me for some reason even if people submit my resume I never hear even for an interview.
