2 - 3 days out is completely reasonable for me but there are a lot of factors at play, many that you can’t control. Level, industry, urgency all play a part. I am in a senior role and would be HM for senior roles. I have waited a year for a candidate to be ready but I have also marked a candidate as ‘Do Not Hire’ for too much messing around in the recruitment cycle.
What do you mean by too much messing around in the recruitment cycle?
You should ideally receive slots from HR on when the hiring manager is available. If the 2-3 days you mentioned are within the timelines provided by HR then it’s fine.
