Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

It depends if your except or non-exempt. I think it’s non-exempt that you get a fixed salary, but you qualify for overtime if you go over your set hours.
There are limited exceptions, but they are rare. For the most part, salary precludes you from overtime. That's why I prefer to work hourly, though right now I'm in a salary position.
For the most part, no. There's very few tiny circumstances, but if you weren't made aware of them, then it probably doesn't apply to you.
OT laws are so different from state to state
I was a software engineer in past life and for any production issues or tickets that we worked on weekend,we were offered 50 pound per hour in the UK back in 2008..it should be a norm to pay your employees for over time..
It's extremely rare but I've seen it once or twice in professional services as an incentive. Example: boutique consulting firm that paid their associates for every billable hour over 50/week. It wasn't a true time and a half, just regular rate. Incentive ended when managers realized their associates were earning more money than they were.
Yeah like if a salaried employee's job duties fall under the non exempt category according to FLSA guidelines. This means their primary job responsibilities are not considered managerial, administrative, or professional in nature. If they work more than 40 hours in a workweek, they may be entitled to overtime pay at a rate of one and a half times their regular hourly rate.
