Deloitte gave like symbolic bonus and raise last time though so it’s just making up for that

The real question is, "How do I get a job there?" We got 8% to "bring us to market value" in June but now everyone else that we market ourselves as an alternative to had done something bigger and better. Not to be ungrateful or greedy, but I'm trying to get paid too! 🤣

Gotta imagine this is them realizing they are under market after the other firms comp adjustments. Particularly EY

like

Yeah that makes sense. I’m an A3 and I don’t think I have any intention of staying until partner but also am not sure just yet what path I want to go down. To be determined…

Hopefully this spreads, this is the kind of news we all need.

Don’t think pwc will follow. The annual raises this year we’re pretty good. For example, I was a senior 2 and got an 18% raise with a tier 3 rating (average)

like

P3 talk to your managers, senior managers and directors and ask them how “great” the raises were. As the OP pointed out some senior raises sucked be ie they had been highly rated in prior years and were ahead of their peers.

smart

Did Deloitte have crappy raises this year? They were always cheap. That’s why I left them. The year I left, we had droves of people leaving. My engagement alone, which was a huge job, lost 4 seniors within 3 months. They never learned their lesson apparently

like

Hope EY will follow. FAAS raise is pretty bad this year. Heard audit is much better

like

How is the pay for senior 1 in FAAS?

like

Yes it’s true. Cannot comment on other firms, but maybe. Some other firms are already higher than Deloitte since they did their raises later

like

Do you know when this is happening and who it applies to? I accepted an offer recently so just curious!

Crowe said it was a possibility!

like

Yup and not just that, but they are getting more work from.home subsidies and they are also getting to expense their trips to the office via public transport or uber with a set cap per month

like

Wow expensing public transportation

I wonder if Deloitte Advisory will follow.

like

Hope Deloitte Tax follows it..

I need some advice- how do I ask for a pay raise? I recently joined Deloitte (Toronto) as a consultant 5 months ago and I make 65k. Initially I thought this would be great but I’m struggling to keep up with my expenses (I live by myself, international student trying to support my little brother through school as well) I feel like I very recently joined & I haven’t done much notable work. I’m afraid to ask!

Hey all - need some important advice. I feel like I under-bargained base/starting salary at Slalom. Got 79K base with up to 8% bonus in a low-to-medium cost of living area as an AC. I'm 1 year out of college (top 40 uni) with ~1 year of NON-consulting experience (mostly programming/software dev. experience at some small companies). How should I expect to increase the salary up to six-figures for the next 2-3 years?

The Mom Project is how I discovered remote accounting positions. I’m a father of two girls under three and I wanted to work from home to watch them grow up and I also have an extra bedroom so WFH is ideal for me. What I like about The Mom Project is that it gives you salary expectations and they will email you jobs based on your criteria. My search criteria was remote accounting positions and there are some really lucrative remote full-time jobs and remote contract jobs.

I like both roles equally the same but know FAANG is god's gift to exit opps for us. The owners of our company like to do a holiday handout at Thanksgiving each year. They used to do a whole Thanksgiving meal (turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, pie). Last year there was a lack of available turkeys in the quantity we needed, so we switched it up and did a bottle of sparkling cider with a $25 gift card. This year the owners want to do something different but they are not sure what. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have about 300 employees in one location. Thanks!!
