Is using Fidelity a good option for someone just starting to invest? I have a 401k right now but I want to open a Roth IRA and I want to invest in green companies but I barely know what I’m doing. I’ve used apps to try to invest $50 here and there and I just don’t trust them as much as an actual established company. But I don’t wanna be played. Any advice?

I use fidelity for my IRA and brokerage. The UI isn’t as friendly as some of the robo advisor apps but I’m fine with it. You can look into ESG (environmental, social, governmental) mutual funds and ETFs fidelity has at https://www.fidelity.com/mutual-funds/investing-ideas/socially-responsible-investing

I use fidelity for everything and am very happy

Fidelity or Merrill Edge are both good.

How can we transfer PF amount from DXC to EPFO portal?
There is no relevant response from DXC till date.

Hey all! I’m 30 years old. About to close on a house with a 5.75% fixed 30 yr mortgage. If you were me and your goal was to maximize your net worth by retirement, would you put a few thousand dollars extra into paying down the house faster or invest that extra money in the market? The 5.75% doesn’t feel that low but also not crazy high so I’m torn. Thoughts? 🙏

Is it a bad time to open a gemini account? I know the SEC fined blockfi and stopped new accounts from earning interest; Voyager, Celsius, and Gemini were next to investigate. Should I wait for that to settle down first? Interested in using gemini earn for their GUSD interest.

Another question, how is gemini active trader? Fees seem lower than coinbase pro if trading low volume, but would love to hear thoughts on how well it works.

I’m really discouraged. My after tax / after 401k contributions etc. take home pay is $6,500 monthly. I have $60,000 in savings / stocks for a down payment but even looking at a $550,000 home, my monthly payment would be about $3,400 from the calculators I’ve been using. Is that too high?

So discouraged that houses where I live are about 50% higher than what they were 2 years ago, and now interest rates are around 5.25% for my credit score. This is like a 1750 sq foot home

If I’m contributing to my Roth 401k vs pretax 401k and my employer matches 10% of my contributions. My employer match be 10% on my post tax contributions right? Technically meaning I’ll be getting less of my 10% employer match then if I were to do pretax 401k since that match would be on a higher amount?

Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

My question is, is it realistic for a 25 year old young professional to handle dealing with all the extra curricular’s that come with owning a rental property ?
