IT companies need to work in Automotive domain to make automotive OEMs more efficient & improve productivity.
Legacy OEMs like FORD (Michigan), GM, & Rivian have amazing products but Sr.Managment is quite old school (at least CAE).
For more efficient outcomes, aggressive management style like Ford Irvine is required to be implemented everywhere. 👏👏
Startups like Scout motors and Slate Auto must focus on building a good culture (there are a ton of issues especially in CAE teams) 😞😔😏

I’ve completed all 8 rounds of interviews with General Motors for Senior Automation Engineer, and my application status recently changed from “Interview” to “In Process.”

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get an update after this stage?

How does a sole engineer at a company go about getting management to actually care how production machines run? I’m the only mechanical engineer at my company dealing with a half dozen cranky production managers who think that I can “work my magic” on a machine. It’s not magic, just ignorance about the machine actually works. How to I get a manager to stop caring about the end product long enough for me to actually teach them about their own machine?
