It’s so fucking hard to make friends in SF.

I've been avoiding breaking up with someone (I've been dating off and on for a year) for the past few weeks because I can't decide the best way to do it. We're not compatible long-term. He's not seeing anyone else and I've told him I'm seeing other people but he's starting to have relationship expectations for me since we reconnected a few months ago. Any tips for having the conversation? I'd prefer to do it via text but I know people say it's not appropriate and it should be over the phone.

Are there any well-off suburbs around Chicago where there's a significant amount of black or mixed race people? Significant meaning 40-50%+. I've seen a lot of nice black suburbs in southern and eastern cities but less in the midwest. A long post: seeking some perspective. My husband of 2 years that I’ve been in a relationship with for more than 8 years just woke up one day and told me that he’s unhappy in our relationship.
