I’ve been in audit for almost two years, and am on track for senior promotion this summer. I’m really interested in accounting advisory services (FAAS, CMAAS, etc) and am thinking about applying at other firms soon.

Has anyone in similar shoes had luck with applying to senior level positions? Or should I be looking at the experienced associate level? I’d like to stay another year and get a busy season as a senior under my belt, but I also want to take advantage of this job market.

If you have 2 years, cmaas will take you as a senior. I can refer

CMAAS is definitely hiring and in need of seniors. Idk exactly if you could come in as a senior if not already promoted at your current firm, it would depend on how relevant your experience is to large transactions, industries the office you’re applying at deals with, and common areas of technical accounting issues.

Come to FAAS it’s really nice

Applied for senior advisory roles as an audit A2 the past few months and everywhere was willing to bring me on as a senior

I was a rising senior in audit, got offers from FAAS and AAS for senior role! You got this!

What about an internal transfer? Assuming you get the promotion, I think you would come in as a senior.

Have you considered transferring into GT Advisory? Not that hard.

Hi! I have recently taken a step back from my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and am trying to find my next move. My family keeps recommending medical sales, my bank account recommends finishing the degree that cost me an arm and a leg, and my heart is conflicted in so many areas of interest - PT, Psych, sales, etc. I am currently working as a patient care technician but do not see this as my end goal. Any recommendations on sales vs PT vs psychology vs really anything? Thank you!!

Hi folks, I am currently working as desktop developer and having 9 yoe, I am looking for career change, kindly suggest me a career path with future scope

Hello, I was recently let go from my firm for not being able to pass the series 10 exam. I passed the 9 and have my SIE, 7, and 63. Are there any jobs out there that require the 9 but not the 10? All the jobs I can find require them both but I’d like to use my 9. Thanks for any advice!

I'm two thirds through the PMA Core Certification, and the info is great but the tests are a joke. They need to contract with an educator that specializes in testing and assessment to come in and develop exams that actually measure if you know the material. The bad test design devalues the certification. Not to zero, but I definitely will not be proud to have earned it. It just means I had $1300 and sat through 15 hours of video lectures.

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.

I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.

Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.

Should I stay or should I go?

I have also considered a sales analyst role considering that I am moderately versed in Salesforce and have worked both the customer facing and sales generating side. TIA!

My partner and I are in the process of buying a PHEV that qualifies for the full non-refundable federal tax credit. We will both owe taxes in excess of the current $7,500 cap (will see if that increases with the new budget bill). If we both own the car (i.e. both names on the title), how do we manage filing for the tax credit when filing separately? Do we just pick one of us to file? Is there guidance on splitting the credit across owners? Does it matter what order our names are on the title?

I joined a SoftBank/Arm owned company, after the interview they showed me an unofficial spreadsheet with a bonus structure of 30% + 25% of 30% (performance based). However I was told that it’s complex so I should look at final numbers. When they made me the offer, it stated 15% bonus which I ignored because the recruiter had promised me 30% + 25% of 30% (performance based). Now, after three months he says that I will get only 15% - I feel cheated and naive for believing the recruiter.
