I've been offered a creative copywriting position with a Publicis Agency in a foreign country. Went through the whole interview process, did the assignment, got the offer letter and accepted it. They're helping me relocate and I've sent them all my documents. Now they're saying I'll only receive the official employment contract once I'm there. Is that weird or totally normal? I was hoping to receive it well in advance so that I have guaranteed job security when I resign at my current agency.

I've decided to leave public for an Accounting Manager position in private. What are the different types of companies to consider and the pros/cons? What are the best ways to get the position? I'm leaning toward GL accounting at a publicly-traded company. My background is 3.5 years audit and 2.5 years technical accounting advisory.

I’ve worked 2 years at a non profit 501c 3 tech startup. When I started there were 6 employees we now have 22. I am considered a part of leadership and am a people manager in addition to my sales role. I am a high performer and last year got a 10% raise (which I asked for). This year I was offered 5%. I am going to counter but curious what anyone thinks I should ask for. I was thinking 8%.

The downside is the cost of living is nearly double my current location and I would only be getting a 40% pay increase.
