Any star alliance status match delta platinum?
My LM is so keen on small small things, not related to coding but documentation and all. Atleast once in a week I'm committing mistakes on small documentation points n he is stressing on same. Are there any chances that my probation will not be extended or is it a clue for me from my LM. He is Looping his LM and asking questions/clarifications.
Should I ask him directly or can be ignored or need to try outside. Please suggest Barclays

Not trying to be dad like, but I hope by 150k in the bank you mean invested in the market not sitting in a <1% interest rate. If it's truly sitting in a savings/checking account to open a fidelity or Scottrade account asap. You'll thank me later
You should do it OP. But come on people, if you want to travel the world, do it. You dont need 150k to do so. Travel the world in a year should only cost around $30k. Even if you stay at hotel for the whole year its only ~50k for nice hotels. I will do it within the next 5 years
How do you have 150k in the bank?????
Do it and keep a running FB blog. You will be my hero
I'm only a 3rd year. Don't think I'm eligible. And I worked some pretty lucrative internships during undergrad + no loans + full scholarship. Had a bit of a head start.
Take a sabbatical instead? Enough space to clear your mind, but continued job security?
I'll date you!
I was thinking about slumming it in hostels and doing the whole backpack thing. I dunno. Spend some time doing odd jobs in Europe if I need cash. Teach English? I dunno. I'm not necessarily looking for a vacation in the conventional sense, but just a break from the rat race. Spent so many years in school studying my ass off then end up at a job where I work even harder. It might be nice to live without the "up or out" mentality for once.
To that end, the money isn't necessarily to finance the vacation. It's almost more like... God damn now what? I know it's real life, and eventually I'd have to get back to it, but damn, wouldn't it be nice to wake up and not be stressed? For a while at least?
Nah I've been in Dallas but lived out of suitcase for one year on alt travel and the other two have been living in a hole essentially cuz who gives a shit when you fly Sun-Thurs?
I only have 25k?
Liar liar.
I say take a 6mo break and travel!! Wish I had that kind of free spirit.
Long story short: I worked 2 summer internships at fb and Google, 1 at a local startup (where I also did part time work for a two years or so). So I didn't start from zero when I joined up here. Staffed on shiity travel projects so I just kept my per diems (residence inn and grocery stores during the week) and used that to hang out on the weekend.
OP how would you spend your 150k if you did take a nice vacation?? Sounds like you are a frugal pupster if you saved that much in 3 years!
Do it! Life is short. You are well positioned to find a new job. Recruiters understand this.
Lol thanks D1, I'm talking all fairly liquid assets, accounts, cash etc.
Ok, be happy. The culprit in my case is NY rent and fear of investing.
Maybe wait until the next down business cycle and get laid off and take the severance? 3 years seems too short to do this. But I'm all for (read jealous) of the idea!
Buy a $400k property and rent it out
