McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!

Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

I don't exactly have an answer to this but for me, I think I made the right decision in going with the government job. What happened was, I got an offer which I also thought could possibly be considered a dream job (at a major airline company). I accepted that but then a week later was informed that I apparently got the government job (they were a bit delayed in processing and making the decision and I thought I didn't get it). After consulting with some older colleagues and friends, I accepted the government job and it was the right decision - better hours and work and my coworkers and boss are nice. Plus it was of course more stable than the airline job (but the pandemic wasn't even an issue at the time, it was pure luck).
I currently work for the gov and I’m taking a job in the private sector. While the gov does provide more W/L balance, stability, and better benefits...it’s boring. It’s boring, lacks innovation, doesn’t like change, and depending on the GS level can lack growth. I think you may regret it in the long run because you could’ve been working for an innovative company like Microsoft. Get your money, experience, and fun and when you’ve accomplished whatever it is you wanted, come to the gov! It’s not going anywhere lol.
I would definitely recommend Microsoft not only the great pay but also the culture and growth opportunities.
I agree with the previous post that the Gvt will always be there.
