Anyone know of a good tutor for CFP exam? Thx.
Hi,
I'm currently having an offer from BlueOptima and Cohesity and am conflicted between the two.
I have offers in the SDET profile.
Cohesity Inc is providing me MTS and @BlueOptima is providing SDET-1.
Glassdoor reviews more of less place the two companies almost equally, and the package being offered by the two is almost in the same range.
My preferences include:
Learning opportunities in the role.
Company's work environment.
Company's growth prospects, are also a consideration.
YOE: 2 years
Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

Say it louder for the people in the back!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Or the role turned out to be different than expected.. or there is once in a lifetime opportunity somewhere..
At the end of the day, people have to choose whats best for themselves
With the way Gen Z operates, we are lucky if we can even get one year out of them. With the younger generation, they are very spoiled and if one thing doesn't go there way then they want to quit so I have to disagree
I have my frustrations with some of the younger crowd. I have not experienced what you are saying with my younger direct reports. All of them have been very hard working and committed individuals.
As an older Gen-Zer, I left my toxic company after just 1yr 4mos. Many colleagues plan to quit due to burnout and disengagement. Prioritizing mental health is more important than avoiding resume gaps. I was a top performer, with positive evaluations even while working weekends. My two managers offered to provide references.
It could also be that they can’t hold a job for long periods. It can go both ways.
But wouldn’t them holding that job for at least 2 years going as long periods? And what if they had contracts that were expiring shortly?
Also isn't this just the nature of how the new generations (millennial and Z) approach jobs?
Data has pointed out that millennials have jumped less frequently than their Gen X counterparts.
Or.. too much job hopping can show a lack of good judgment? If the last 5 jobs in 3 years were not a fit for you(no contract jobs), maybe you make poor decisions? Maybe you are not doing research on your employers? Maybe you have commitment issues? It's not always the employer or managers fault!! Take some responsibility for your actions..
I get more managers, not interested in candidates, due to jumping than anything else.(If the skill set is correct). Most leaders hate spending all their time interviewing. So they want employees to stay longer.
I look at it in terms of time and training. It takes 12 to 18 months to get someone where I need them to be. While I appreciate their hustle, it’s just not worth my time when a history is there.
