I work at a large Fortune 50 company. Getting more and more frustrated about endless bureaucracy, constant political power struggles, lack of resources for basic compliance programs, and constantly playing whack-a-mole for issues we should be proactively addressing. Left BigLaw for better work life balance but not finding it. Is that because I’m in BigCorp? Do the same issues prevail in smaller private companies?

I saw a posting at Deloitte that says range is $78-144k and that “at Deloitte it is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range “; any idea on where they typically hire at for this role? I’d need to be at $125-130k and no idea if that’s reasonable.

My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? I am generally uncomfortable when I’m around my mother-in-law’s husband.

While he is overall a decent guy, his anger issues, yelling at his wife for the slightest issue, and insulting nature makes me uncomfortable and triggers my own anger due to his blatant disrespect for just about everyone around him.

Thinking that in a few months, I’ll concretely work solely for my own practice full-time. How difficult is it to gain clients (mainly PI and civil lit)? My mentor also offered me to be an off counsel while I’m working at my current job so that I can refer cases for a cut, would there be an ethical issue?
