Don't cancel. Downgrade the card to one that doesn't have an annual fee. This way you preserve the age of your credit history
I downgraded my preferred to a normal sapphire to avoid the fee two years ago. Absolutely do not Upgrade to the reserve - you won't be eligible for the 100k bonus
Just confirmed everyone gets it. At least today. I just downgraded the CSP,
Cancelled my delta gold, and am waiting anxiously for my new card
Do the cards have the same product code? If so, you should just be able to replace the preferred with the reserve without having to close an existing line of credit
I've heard you can't replace CSP with Reserve since they aren't the same products. @A1 downgrading is a good idea, do I lose anything doing that though? Currently have some points sitting with CSP
You won't lose points but can't transfer without one of the higher tiered cards (csp, ink, reserve, etc)
If you get the reserve, then a downgraded CSP to say ,a Freedom, will still allow you to transfer points.
Is there a link to apply? I can't find it. Thanks.
Yeah did you apply in branch?
I found a link online lol, someone posted a link in an earlier post too it's legit
The link doesn't say they are giving the 100k welcome points tho
What do I do with my AMEX Gold 😭
It sucks that EY can't use it to book travel
Agreed ^
Can I transfer the points that I have from sapphire preferred over to the reserve? And is the reserve point value the same as CSP?
All of your points will be in the same place as long as it's the same account. CSR gets 1.5 cents per point in chase portal compared to 1.25 for CSP. Transfer options and values are the same
