Hi Folks, I submitted documents 2 weeks ago for BGV in Tech Mahindra. I have not got any response so far from HR. However, last week they scheduled another interview and dropped me email just before 15 mins, yet i joined the interview but no one joined from their end. Now, HR is not responding. What should I understand from this case? Am I rejected? Tech Mahindra Tata Consultancy

It's hard to time any market, especially RE. I would focus on your goals for wealth building and achieving your desired lifestyle and then see if/how the costs of a new home in this environment fit in. That said I recall the 1970s when interest rates were in DOUBLE DIGITS if you can believe that. So historically they are insanely low now. Also factor in that home ownership is a forced savings plan and you will increase equity in your home over time until it is paid off, although early on you pay mostly interest. If Deomocrats win in Nov they are likely to reinstate the old mortgage interest deduction which would be an extra plus. But we can't count on that.
