Hi everyone!!! Last year I put together a list of classrooms to exchange valentines with! We mailed 1 valentine to each class and included a picture if we could, and a few things about where we live and things we do!
I currently have 13 classes signed up! The more the merrier!!
We have classes CA, WI, PA, KS, TX, RI, MI, Canada, New Zealand.
I have a form to fill out if you are interested! I will email everyone the list probably at the end of the week if not sooner!

I tend to use this model as an end-of-unit assessment. Throughout the unit, students create their own questions for each chapter (part of their work for each chapter) and then pick 4 (or more depending on groups sizes/ allotted time) to ask their groups. I give them a variety of prompts that I want them to answer and their questions must fit into those prompts (ex: womanhood in the ___). I check throughout the unit to ensure that they have higher-level thinking questions.
Discussions usually last 25-30 minutes.
This is harder with distance learning but since my district requires students to go to at least one block of office hours a week, I am able to make appointments and give each group 20 minutes
I’ll have to look into this model. I think one of my colleagues uses the model in her AP Lang classes.
