So, a spot I made (concept to completion) got shelved due to COVID forcing the client’s marketing plan to change. During that time, my partner and I were laid off. Recently, the spot aired, but the agency credits a different team for the work – me, my parter, and my CDs aren’t listed. Do I ask the agency to correct it? Just throw it in my book with explanation? Just take the L and chalk it up to that being how the industry is?

A Senior Director, who joined my team 3 months ago, always comments on my PTO. Today I reminded the team I’ll be out Friday and he said “this has got to be your last PTO for the year right… you’ve taken a lot!” I have worked here for 5.5 years and have 15 vacation, 6 personal preference, and 1 birthday day. I’ve also been comped days because I worked two holiday weekends to cover for another employee. To add to the frustration, he is not even my boss. Any advice on how to handle?

For all you retail people...are you experiencing a very slow holiday season? I am a retail manager and I feel like this season has been freakishly slow. I thought we would at least match last year's number or be up a little bit but we are trending down. I talked to employees of other stores in the mall and they are saying the same thing. Have I just had bad luck with the companies I've been at or is it like this everywhere? I've had 7 managers in my 4 years of experience, 3 in one year at my first position (which is why I left) and now 4 at the 2nd company in 3 years. There has been a mix of people leaving and people getting fired but the instability feels extreme.

Joined Deloitte recently. PDM model.
Couple days ago found out that PTO not counted towards utilization.
I need to go to my home country and get married this December.
I don’t think I can bill more than 40 hours.
So people do not take vacation/PTO in PDM model? Is changing job the only option or there is some other way. Please advice.

Have three weeks notice the end of your contract is up and won’t be renewed but have no benefits because you’re a contractor?

Wrong side of 40 (45 in 2022). Have the exp, education and certs but still way underpaid. So, I focus on other things while working barely 40 hours.

As a new analyst 3 weeks in, how should I be biking my hours. I’m in fed so we bill 40hrs. Ive been working 50 and billing 50. Haven’t been told anything yet but was wondering if over billing somewhat consistently comes with ramifications? Also should I bill weekends?
