What are some interesting non-tech/insurance/advertising/consulting careers where data science is applied? Thinking of epidemiology and economics

My wife is a Software engineer - QA with 2 Yoe, now we are thinking to move to Canada, can someone please guide us on which 2 year course can she pick (for student visa), is data science related course a wise decision? Or how to find a QA related PG program.

I trained on .net and then after I supported .net application. After 3 years I got to work on ssrs reports. We build reports from scratch in ssrs, then I worked on qlik view application. Attended training on qlik sense. My question is for which openings/certificate I have to look .net (I have only support knowledge) or reporting tools like ssrs, qlik view ? I am struggling to choose with the way to upgrade myself.

How did you determine what field to go into?

Firm wants me to back pay last year FICA tax(Social Security and Medicare tax).
Last year I started working as F-1 and transition to H1b. Firm never withheld FICA tax.

Now they ask me to back pay last year FICA tax and then will send me W2c form.

The catch is I already file my tax without those FICA tax. Should I pay them and file tax amendment?

I work for a late stage(ipo) start up, earlier this year we were acquired & since then they got rid of our yearly bonuses and gave us an ESOP grant.
2 RIFs later we are almost bare bones. Since we are coming up on our usual yearly evaluations many of us assumed (with multiple conversation from our managers) that pay raises and promotions were due.
In a recent All hands we found out that this year there will be no pay raises nor promotions based off merit. Is it time to jump ship?

Say I secured a new position for myself. And say the start date of that position would make my 2 weeks notice stretch back into Christmas break. If I was to leave the firm before the break they’d let me go immediately. But if I quit over the break there’s no way they shit can me right then and there do they? Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. Where do you go after B4 audit if you don’t want to go to industry that has true work life balance? I’ve been busy since September straight... this won’t end for a while. I enjoy accounting and enjoy being challenged, but my mental and physical health are also falling by the wayside. I’m only in my second year, but I’ve been working in full senior capacity for a while. I like the research/memo writing side of the job the most (when I get to do it). Just tired of the hours.

I lose FAR credit on 11/4 and only have 1 left (failed it in the last testing window). When's the latest I can take my last exam? If I sit for it on 11/3 and pass, then I'll be a CPA?
