Hey Sharks, I joined in verizon india last april, i got moved to new project at july end. I have 2.5 years of experience in java,springboot, Micrservices architecture. But in my new team deployed in a support project. Feeling depressed and frustrated. asked manager 2 times to change my responsibility. But he's accepting in call but not doing what he is promised. OP, you should look at it differently. Consider yourself lucky because there is a lot of competition among Asians to come to the US, so you should definitely be grateful. 12 years for. GC is shitty though, but that's a consequence of having too many people trying under the current legislation.

OP, not sure of what you are talking about. Illegal immigrants have no path to citizenship, unless there is an amnesty or they marry US citizens, which are paths available to you too!
It is frustrating to have to wait all that time, but you know the reason is what I already explained, and you probably knew that before you came to the US, so why so butt hurt now? Quit saying it is racism, Asians enjoy a privileged position in this industry, being truly over represented in demographic terms, so where is the prejudice?

A4, yes. Asians are 5.6% of the US population. A brief walk at any big 4 or MBB office, will show you a much higher percentage. So yes, demographically over represented.

D7: There are a ton of green card applicants from India and to a lesser extent China, which overwhelms the per-country caps by a few orders of magnitude. Not sure why those caps exist...

I love it when people tell immigrants to go back to their own countries whenever they're not satisfied with the system. Or even the "you don't even know me." It's a great way to deflect the fact that the system sucks and needs to improve. Seeking diversity and encouraging positive representations of race, and discriminating based on race are not the same things even if both are centered around race, D2.
