I have received offer from Shell and SAP labs is in final stage salary discussion. Shell is offering 6 lacs more than @SAP labs. I have tried to negotiate a lot from SAP but they are not ready. They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Should I join @SAP considering its a Product based and good WLB and learning? Teck Stack - Java/Micro-services/cloud YOE - 11yrs

Sitting may exacerbate it but let's be honest - I don't think otherwise healthy people that are taking care of themselves are the 99% of people who get these. Not just picking on you, but let's all as a society try to take a little more responsibility for our health and prosperity and quit blaming others.
Sure, I might have the extra "staff 15" weight but I'm by no means obese, and live an active lifestyle outside of work. After this experience I will be starting a regular exercise routine, but other than sitting for extended periods (sedentary job), risk factors include being male, in your 20's, and having a hairy crack... So nothing I can control. However if standing desks were offered, this could have probably been avoided. Not blaming anyone, but workers comp is for paying medical bills related to workplace injuries... Why would I not check into that?
Haha, I didn't realize hair-level on butts was one of the defining criteria in choosing a man. I'll have to ask my wife how she could have possibly looked past such a deal breaker. Your search for hairless ass-cracks will probably lead you in 2 ways EY2... Chicks, and gaybros.
As for searching for a new employer, I will be doing that as soon as paternity leave is no longer a concern of mine. Looks like I'll be footing the bill for a standing desk attachment for the office.
If by workers comp you mean get fired
OP, there is more to taking care of yourself than weight, though it sounds like that contributed. A cyst doesn't develop over night. There's many hygiene issues I suspect played a larger role than sitting all day. Look at all the people here that sit all day and don't get cysts.
This is the most disgusting post. Not only health wise but as a woman, why would anyone want a man with such a hairy ass crack. Like wtf!!
Haha I wish they'd fire me for that, I'd take the paycheck no problem
@OP hairy crack is something you can control. Go get that shit waxed if the hair is causing issues. Chicks do that all the time.
I don't spend most of the time at the client, and I take showers daily thank you very much. Saying look at all the people who do x and don't get x is a pretty stupid argument too. Look at all the smokers who don't get lung cancer and\or emphysema, does that mean smoking is ok, and not at fault when someone does get it?
EY2, every man has a hairy crack naturally, unless they barely have any body hair nayurally, like many Asians.
I'm not even very hairy to begin with, and can't even grow a beard. Also can't imagine what those with supet hairy arms and full bear-like chest hair have to deal with. 😣
EY3 that sucks! This is definitely one of the most painful ordeals I've ever had, and am going yo do everything in my power to avoid recurrence! did you have to get pilonidal area surgically removed, or just had them lanced and drained?
Oh man I had several this year. I went to er like 3 times in march. Last year I had 1 bad one during busy season too. I tried to tough it out but couldn't coz it hurt like hell. I was also out of town so it was super inconvenient.
And I don't have hairy crack. Just wear tights and sit all day and clothing rubs against my skin and causes these issues.
Ask hr if you can get a standing desk for medical reasons. Problem solved. I know PwC will give you a standing desk for "reasonable accommodation" so I don't see why ey or any other larger firm would be any different.
Not every man has a hairy ass crack OP, I have never dated a man with that issue, gross!
I suggest contacting HR, I don't see why they won't accommodate. Would cost them less than having you quit. In our office anybody can go to the procurement website and order an attachment if they want to.
I had my cyst surgically removed.
I was pale in the face when the doctor dug around back there to scoop it out, and then proceeded to show me what he pulled.
The absolute worst part was when I needed to have my gauze dressing replaced every few days by my parents (this was in high school). Agony off the charts when someone is moving something inside a hole near your tailbone.
I had one a few years ago in my back. The worst pain! Never knew the cause of it and had it drained over the wknd so I didn't miss any days (so no workers comp). Hope you feel better.
Hmmm, you can and should talk to hr about options for prevention in the future. But if your injury did not cause u to miss work, workers comp won't pay for the time to have the issue treated. But the firm could file a claim. The only difference is that you dr visit would be charged to the workers comp rather than ur insurance
Haha, i had one of those. I would tell hr I need one. Best way to go
If you spend most of your time at client's location, sitting in some conference room, I just cannot imagine how they are going to manage to put a standing desk there for you
